Runescape – Getting Started with PvM

Playing Runescape for the first time can be a little bit daunting. Of course, one big aspect of it is the combat. For a large portion of the title, you will be engaging in battles with the many monsters that dwell in Runescape. Before you start splashing the Runescape gold on weapons and such, here’s some tips on how to get started.
What You Need
To begin with, we are going to need to max out our combat stats. This shouldn’t be too difficult to do, since you just need to start hitting things with a weapon. If you would like to train more than one skill to gain XP at once, then slayer is a great way to do it. When you get to a higher level around 85+, you will be able to make some decent RS3 gold as well.
Prayer
You will want to also get your prayer up to 95, but this can be costly. It is important that you do get to this, but it is going to be hard to get there. In fact, it is probably the toughest part of preparing for PvM in the game.
Herblore
This is another expensive feature to prepare for, in the same way that prayer is as well. That being said, Warbands won’t have to suffer the high Runescape gold prices in this instance. As a matter of fact, you could then use it to make potions that cannot be traded. These will then help you to make a profit later down the line. You might be able to at least break even this way.
Mazcab Ability Codices
These Runescape items are essential because they will allow you to get the likes of Corruption Shot, Blast, Onslaught, Shatter and Storm Shards. These should be your main goal when it comes to preparing for your PvM experience. When you do so, you’ll be able to gain the best abilities for basic magic and ranged skills.
When you unlock Onslaught, you will be getting a powerful ability that will come in super handy when your ultimate ability is on cooldown. Don’t worry too much about getting Shatter and Storm Shards right away, as they’re only good in particular instances. You will have to part with Runescape gold for this, but it will definitely be worth it.
Invention Levels
As well as your combat levels, you should do the same with your invention levels. Once you have gotten to the point where you have the invention skills to around 75, you will then be able to start augmenting the gear that you have. Start training it and get those levels up as you would with the combat levels.
Bossing
Now that we have an idea of how to prepare out character, we should look into the bosses that we will need to be facing. Solo bosses are the best way to get started with bosses in Runescape. A good place to start are the God Wars Dungeon bosses. This will help you to learn the ropes about damage-per-second too. If you can achieve kills down to sub-15 seconds, then this will be very effective. Otherwise, you need to try and camp for around an hour. When you feel like you are ready to focus on PvM, then trying out K’ril Tsutsaroth, and then Commander Zilyana if you are feeling up for it.
Roles
Another goal should be to learn about tanking with your bosses. All of the roles in Runescape are going to be beneficial in terms of knowledge of them. This will be a great way to help you not only get the most out of the game, but it will give you the opportunity to practice these roles even if you have little experience.
Getting started in Runescape may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but there is plenty of chances for you to really get to grips with what it has to offer.
