How To Obtain CURP – Mexican Unique Population Registry Code

As a measure to simplify obtaining the Unique Code of the Civil Registry of Population (CURP), the respective “proof” will be printed on white paper instead of the pre-printed formats (green paper), which will have the same validity.

Requirements that must be met to access the CURP service

To register for the first time: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

For adults

1. Simple copy of the certified birth certificate.
2. Simple copy of photo identification (voter ID, passport, military card, driver’s license or, failing that, residence card with a photo stamped and signed by the delegate of your neighborhood).
3. Proof of non-registration of CURP (it can be downloaded on the internet through the page consult your curp).
4. In the event that the interested party cannot go to carry out his personal procedure, he may do so: wife, with a copy of the birth certificate, or siblings of the interested party of legal age who have the same surnames.

For Childrens

1. Simple copy of the birth certificate.
2. Simple copy of the voter’s credential of the father or mother who comes to process the child’s CURP.
3. In case the child is over 10 years old, bring the proof of non-registration of the child’s CURP, (it can be downloaded on the internet through the page consult your curp ).
4. In the event that the child’s parents cannot go to process the CURP, the paternal or maternal grandparents with photo identification and that appear in the body of the minor’s certificate can do so.

For CURP correction (Tuesday and Thursday)

1. Simple copy of the certified birth certificate.
2. The recent CURP presenting the error or, failing that, proof of the homonym.
3. Simple copy of photo identification.
4. In the event that the interested party cannot go to carry out their personal procedure, they may do so: the interested party’s wife or siblings of legal age and who have the same surnames.

Note: If the interested party has a professional license, AFORE or SAT, bring a simple copy of said documents.
