Wardrobe
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed that even though my closet was full to the brim, I always complained that I had nothing to wear. It sounds ironic, but most women know the feeling. There’s so much in the closet, yet you wear only a few outfits while the others gather dust. I decided to revamp my entire wardrobe by creating a capsule wardrobe, and changing it every season. This made getting dressed so much easier because I loved every piece (even though they were few) and I felt that I had a lot of outfits to choose from.
Quality Over Quantity
One thing I focused on was dropping fast fashion. I’ve always bought expensive shoes, and if you ask me “are no bulls worth it?” I’ll always answer that they’re worth every penny because they last long, they are comfortable, and versatile – perfect for a range of different workouts and even as part of a casual outfit. I used the same concept on the rest of my wardrobe. After all, I was going to buy fewer items and intended to get a lot more use out of them – so they had to be high quality clothes. I had more room in my budget to buy them because I emphasized quality over quantity.
Get Rid Of What You Don’t Use
Before I went shopping, I cleaned out my wardrobe – insisting on only keeping pieces that I actually wore often. This minimalist approach allowed me to get rid of the clutter that was overfilling my closet. I realized that I didn’t need to keep that sequin dress that I wore a total of two times, and I probably won’t wear it again for a long time. But that pair of jeans that flatter my figure? They stayed.

Choose A Color Palette
In order for a capsule wardrobe to work, you need to make most of your items work with each other. By picking a color palette at the start, I made sure that all the clothes I bought would match each other one way or the other. That’s how two jeans, three shirts, a dress and a few accessories amount to a lot more outfits than I had expected at first.
Learn To Mix And Match
Most importantly, I needed to learn how to mix my outfits together to create new ones. A dress can be reused as a top, or I’d slip a top over it and use the dress as a skirt. With a little creativity, I learned how to make the most out of a few items, and never feel like I had nothing to wear. Also, I learned the importance of accessorizing and how an outfit could be transformed by the accessories alone. Adding a piece of jewelry, a scarf, or a belt can instantly elevate a basic outfit to a more sophisticated one. And if you’re looking for a reliable timepiece to complement your style, consider getting an automatic field watch. Watches are a versatile accessory that can be worn with any outfit, from casual to formal. But don’t just take my word for it – experiment with different combinations and see how a simple watch can add a touch of elegance to your look.
Summary
A capsule wardrobe is a minimalist approach to fashion that focuses on getting more use out of a few items by mixing and matching them with each other. I highly recommend you try this if you ever feel like your closet is overwhelming you. It helped me always feel well-dressed and took the stress out of getting dressed everyday.
